The 2004 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Program held on January 19th was very educational and entertaining. On the left, Middle School principal Mrs. Bergan sang a song with the students and staff. The song was called "We shall Overcome." Everyone stood up and sang the song proudly.
This is a picture of the praise dancers that danced in our Dr. King program. They danced three times and were a great success. They brought tears to teachers and joy to the students. There was six praise dancers and everyone told them they were terrific at the end of the play.
This is a picture of three of the middle school students who played in our Dr. King program. At left is a scene about Rosa Parks fighting for her rights on a city bus. Dominique Bartee played Rosa Parks, behind her is her husband, and to the far left is her brother.
This is a picture of our outstanding Middle School band. They played three songs at our Dr. King program. Mr. Moore in the middle of the picture on the right is a great band teacher and students enjoy his band class.
On the left is a picture showing Ramal Roby ( at the stand ) preaching as he plays the roll of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The people sitting in chairs are people who want to boycott use of city busses along with Dr. King.
