Greetings!
As the principal of Theodore Roosevelt Elementary, it is my desire to work together with my staff to accomplish the goals that we have placed in our School Improvement Plan and those set by our district. I am happy to be working with an excellent team of educators to increase the knowledge that students will receive daily to be successful academically. Our number one goal is to increase MEAP scores by at least 10% in ELA and Math; so we will be in compliance with the Michigan Department of Education. I have a great deal of confidence in my staff, and we will work together on one accord to assist all students who attend Theodore Roosevelt Elementary to be successful!
I graduated from Wayne State University with a Masters in Educational Leadership and received my Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Math and Science from Tennessee State University. I formerly was a teacher and Assistant Principal in Detroit, Michigan, and later served as principal at Tri-Valley Academy in Muskegon, Michigan. I have had the privilege to guide three schools in making “Adequate Yearly Progress”.
Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” I believe as a team at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary, we can!
Educationally yours,
Jaronique Benjamin - Principal |
