Mrs. Susan Mills, one of our 1st grade teachers, innitiated a partnership with GVSU to establish a 1st grade summer Math program. There is a grant for this program which was written by a GVSU professor and has enabled to program to be initiated for ALL district 1st graders and their parents. All students will be given books containing summer bridge activities in math with monthly workshops being held for students and parents throughout the district. To help with other materials for this program, Church of the Savior in Coopersville, Michigan has adopted this project and will be doing a materials drive to garner the needed supplies.
