Welcome to Muskegon Heights Adult/Alternative Community Education Program (MHAACE), an “alternative choice to a great education”. This school year began with the district appointing Mrs. Glenda M. Scott as Director of the program along with Ms. Angela Locke as the Administrative Assistant. MHAACE welcomes a highly qualified experienced staff working to assist our students in “Climbing to new Heights” in grades 9th -12th. Our students are encouraged to focus on setting goals that will make them successful in life. We offer a positive learning environment for our students who chose an alternative education. In addition to our Michigan state standard curriculum courses such as Geometry, Economics, Biology, and African American Authors, we now offer Performing Arts, Journalism, and Entrepreneurship. Our courses are designed to encourage students to challenge themselves in areas they have historically chosen to not avail themselves. For our adult learners, we offer high school completion, general education classes (GED), High School Completion, and certified nurse- aide certification.
